The 4th International Disaster and Risk Conference IDRC Davos 2012 was held at the renowned international conference centre in Davos from 26 - 30 August 2012. 965 delegates from more than 100 countries had registered for this year's global gathering.
The conference was held under the patronage of the UNITED NATIONS ENVIRONMENT PROGRAMME (UNEP), UNITED NATIONS NATIONS EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATION (UNESCO), UNITED NATIONS INTERNATIONAL STRATEGY FOR DISASTER REDUCTION (UN-ISDR) and the INTERNATIONAL LABOUR ORGANISATION (ILO) and was generously supported by our Platinum Sponsors Swiss Re and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC.

The 4th IDRC Davos 2012 comprised of 11 plenary sessions and 69 parallel and special sessions, 11 workshops, over 2000 m2 of indoor and outdoor exhibition, poster and project awards, as well as great networking events.
