Reduce the ecological footprint

Thank you for compensating your CO2-Emissions, caused by travels, with your personal contribution to the solar oven project in the Andes.

11.5 tonnes of CO2 have been compensated due to the participant CO2 travel compensation fees.

With the participants compensation fees "Sahee foundation" (located in Davos) will now support a project that implements solar ovens in the Andes.
More information about the solar oven project can be found in the menu on the left as well (see Project - Solar Ovens).

Disaster management and risk reduction includes reducing climate change impact as well as dropping the human ecological footprint. GRF Davos gives priority to reduce its ecological footprint by using environmental friendly practices. Therefore GRF as the organising committee of IDRC Davos 2010 encouraged their participants to take the opportunity to reduce their carbon footprints.

Still all kind of actions are needed for a contribution towards a more sustainable environment.
