Senior Program Officer, German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) HQ, Bonn, Germany

Peter Goxharaj worked for THW in various fields of civil protection and disaster management in the past 20 years. He is specialized in Urban Search and Rescue and is member of the classifiers pool of INSARAG. He is also Mentor for the Romanian and Tunisian USAR teams who are going to be classified by INSARAG in the following years. His interest in capacity building led to various projects and missions in countries such as Romania and China. Currently he is the project leader for THW in the Sino-German project on optimizing Chinese disaster risk management. In this function he was implementing several “First Responder Trainings” in Sichuan Provence and Dalian city.  He will continue his work in China as a short term expert for the EU project on disaster management.
