Chief trainer REDOG Switzerland, senior search expert, Hinterkappelen, Switzerland

Dr. Linda Hornisberger is a veterinary surgeon. She has a small animal surgery, is specialized in behavioral medicine and lectures at the Swiss Vet University of Berne.

Dr. Hornisberger has been training search dogs since 1980. She has trained and handled four dogs as Search and Rescue Dogs. She has further been on numerous callouts in Switzerland and abroad as dog handler, head and chief search. She is chief trainer of REDOG Switzerland, the only organisation in Switzerland that trains SAR dogs for rubble search. She gives talks and courses for dog trainers and helps to prepare and organize joint exercises for USAR teams. She works for the Humanitarian Aid Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, SDC Swiss Agency for development and cooperation as a senior advisor for the Search Unit of the Jordan Civil Defence.
