
Davos is the highest city in Europe at 1560 meters (5118 ft), located on the Landwasser River, in the Swiss Alps. It is one of the most popular holiday paradises in Switzerland, thanks to its fascinating natural mountains and diversity of sporting, leisure and cultural attractions.



During the IDRC Davos 2010 conference participants and accompanying persons are invited to visit the Excursions into the scenic environs of Davos. This Excursions offer an ideal setting for informal discussions among conference participants as well as pure enjoyment.
Bookings:Please register at the registration desk at the conference centre from Monday to Thursday. Note that you need to book your excursion at least one day ahead. Early booking is highly recommended! The "Enjoy Switzerland " Tour can be booked in advance within your registration.

Visit the capital of the tiny country Liechtenstein, walk through the smallest town in the world consisting of 40 beautiful wooden houses from the 13^th century, enjoy the fantastic view from the Säntis and have lunch on top of the highest mountain in the Alpstein region. Visit then Appenzell -- the small historic town in the middle of the picturesque, hilly landscape as well as a cheese factory. Further you will stay overnight in St. Gallen with the the UNESCO heritage abbey library, have a look at the impressive abbey, buy chocolate from the chocolate shop.
