Du Bois-Reymond Alard

Alard du Bois-Reymond was born in Zurich in 1961. He studied economics (national economy branch) at the University of Zurich and completed his post-graduation studies for developing countries at the Federal Technical University in Zurich (1988-1989).

After university, from 1989 to 1996 Alard du Bois-Reymond worked as delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross, in particular in various African States and in Ex-Yugoslavia. In 1996 he became head of Pro Infirmis and in 2005 deputy director and head of the Invalidity Insurance at the Federal Social Insurance Office.
On 1 January 2010 he became director of the Federal Office for Migration.

Alard du Bois-Reymond is married and lives with his wife in Epalinges (Vaud).
